Every First Friday, from May through August from 6pm to 8pm, the Glen Echo Park Partnership hosts open studios and artist demonstrations in the Park's many visual arts studios and galleries. Each month features different activities, including hands-on art projects and/or artist demonstrations.
Enjoy an evening of live music at a Honky Tonk Dance with Karen Collins & the Backroads Band, one of the DC area's top honky-tonk groups. A free beginner lesson in two step included with admission, led by Sharon Schiliro and Michael Hart from of Dancing by the Bayou.
Agalisiga "The Chuj" Mackey is a Cherokee singer/songwriter performing country music that sounds like it was written in the 70's and is sung in Cherokee. Join Mackey and a full country band at a Honky Tonk Dance at the Park! A free beginner lesson in two step included with admission, led by Alex Lacquement of Baltimore Honky Tonk.
The 55th Annual Labor Day Art Show at Glen Echo Park will be held in the historic Spanish Ballroom from Saturday, September 5 through Monday, September 7, 2026 from 12:00pm - 6:00pm. An Opening Reception will be held on Friday, September 4 from 7:00pm - 9:00pm.
In 2021, we hope you were able to participate in our months-long celebration of the Carousel's 100th Anniversary! Thousands of people joined us for lectures, story time, carousel family days, and more! Many of these events were virtual, so if you missed them you can still participate!
