DANCE FIT
Join us for a Saturday morning dance series designed to keep your body moving and your spirits up! Although bringing a friend is always welcome, a partner is never needed for any of our DanceFit classes, just come ready to move & groove.
$13 per class for Early Bird Registration (Ends at 11:59 PM the night before the class, or until early bird capacity is reached)
$15 per class for General Registration (Available at the door with cash, check, or card, until overall class capacity is reached)
$120 for a 10 Class Package (Use all 10 classes yourself, or bring a friend! Valid on all DanceFit classes within six months of purchase date.)

Experience the JOY of dance through Shake Your Soul! Shake Your Soul is a dynamic movement practice that energizes your body, relaxes your nervous system, and awakens your soul through a dance repertoire set to world music. Fun, freeing, meditative, graceful, and sweaty, the class invites you to dance from within and with others in community. Absolutely no dance experience is needed to experience this body mind connection. This class is appropriate for all levels and welcomes all movers and music lovers.

In this class, participants will have the opportunity to learn about and experience three folk dances from India. They include Bhangra (energetic dance from the state of Punjab), Garba (circle dance from the state of Gujarat), and Dandiya Raas (stick dance from the state of Gujarat). These dances have historically been done in community during special events and festivals. Join Smita Khatri for a joyous exploration of these dance styles.

Her dance journey spans musical theater, Latin dance, Country Western, and a wide range of line dances, giving her a versatile foundation and a deep appreciation for many styles. With experience teaching both Latin dances and Country Western line dancing, Janee blends technique, rhythm, and fun in a way that helps dancers of all levels feel confident on the floor. She has dedicated the last five years to line dancing specifically, developing a strong passion for its community, creativity, and accessibility. As an instructor, Janee is committed to fostering an inclusive, welcoming environment where every dancer feels supported. She believes in adapting her teaching style so that everyone—regardless of background, experience, or learning preference—can succeed. Her philosophy is simple: everyone can learn, and everyone can dance.
