From June 17-25, Diverse Voices: A Juneteenth Celebration, the DMV’s first regional Juneteenth festival, will commemorate the end of slavery in America and honor the rich history of the Civil Rights era, particularly the desegregation of the former Glen Echo Amusement Park in Montgomery County.

Events will include:

• Concerts featuring Washington Revels’ performance ensembles and local, regional, and internationally known artists
• Virtual and in-person songfests
• Historical discussions and educational activities
• A film preview
• Community sings
• Local events
• Storytelling
