Check out the Glen Echo Pottery Outdoor Market from 10am to 4pm in the Bumper Car Pavilion, enjoy a food truck from 11am to 2pm, shop around the Popcorn and Stone Tower Galleries from 12pm to 8pm, and join us for an opening reception for the Holiday Art Show from 6pm to 8pm. 1:00 pm - 6:00 pm
In conjunction with the Dentzel Carousel Opening Weekend, join us on May 1 for The Magic Garden Flower Bloom at Glen Echo Park. Throughout the weekend, the back corner of the park will transformed into an interactive art installation, featuring thousands of crocheted flowers handmade by craftspeople from around the country – and at the end of your tour, you can pick your very own flower from a special patch in exchange for a donation in any amount to the park.
All proceeds will benefit Glen Echo Park and the Beeler Fountain project, a two-year volunteer effort to restore the fountain and build a garden of native trees, plants and flowers in that corner of the park.

Wet Plate Demonstration - Saturday, July 23, 11am-2pm at Glen Echo Park
This is a live demonstration of the photographic process that was dominant from the 1850s-70s (i.e. during the US Civil War). The photographer must sensitize, expose, and develop the plate in a matter of minutes, using a portable darkroom. Results are available immediately.
Sun Printing - Saturday, July 30, 11am-2pm
A family friendly fun-for-all where everyone makes cyanotype shadowgrams. This is an excellent introduction to cyanotype process. Cyanotype is the simplest historic photographic process to learn. It also can deliver extraordinary creative expression.
