    Vox Pop

    Vox Pop is a seven-person, mixed voice a cappella group from the Washington, DC area. Vox Pop's talents have been recognized with Contemporary A Cappella Recording Award (CARA) nominations in 2014, 2016, and 2019 including 2x Best Contemporary A Cappella League (CAL) Album, Best CAL Song, and Best Non-Scholastic Arrangement.

    Regis is an award-winning cavaco (string instrument) player, singer, and percussionist performing Brazilian music. In addition to his work as a performer, Regis is an accomplished community-based arts administrator having served as program manager for Strathmore's Community and Education Department and the Prince George’s Arts and Humanities Council.

    Join the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts & Culture, Washington Revels, and communities around the Washington D.C. metropolitan area for a festive week celebrating freedom! From June 17-25, Diverse Voices: A Juneteenth Celebration, the DMV’s first regional Juneteenth festival, will commemorate the end of slavery in America and honor the rich history of the Civil Rights era, particularly the desegregation of the former Glen Echo Amusement Park in Montgomery County.

    Events will include:

    • Concerts featuring Washington Revels’ performance ensembles and local, regional, and internationally known artists
    • Virtual and in-person songfests
    • Historical discussions and educational activities
    • A film preview
    • Community sings
