    Join us over Labor Day weekend, as we host an OPEN HOUSE FOR CLASSES on Saturday, September 4, to introduce adults and children to the wide range of visual and performing arts classes being offered at the Park this fall. The Open House will take place from 12 pm to 4 pm and will feature several hands-on activities and demonstrations; visitors will also be able to view resident artists at work in their studios.

    Carousel Family Day #4: Glen Echo Park Band Organ Rally

    In partnership with the Carousel Organ Association of America (COAA), join us for a band organ rally on the grounds of Glen Echo Park. You may be familiar with the carousel's Wurlitzer 165 band organ, but this is a great opportunity to learn about and hear different types of organs - large and small! Visitors can check in at the Partnership's tent on Saturday or Sunday to receive a free passport book and receive a stamp at each of the organs they've visited. Visit all of them and complete the passport to receive a free prize! Be sure to stay for the small organ concert in the Cuddle Up at 2pm both Saturday and Sunday.

    Kiti Gartner & the Drifting Valentines is a band out of Washington DC who play western swing, rockabilly, old country and some jump blues. Their influences include music from the 1940s and on, including almost everything that came out of The Quonset Hut and RCA Studio B in Nashville, Sun Records and Bakersfield. Kiti Gartner (vocals and rhythm guitar), Zachary Sweeney (lead guitar), Steve Wolf (upright bass), Brian Alpert (drums).
