The Park View Gallery presents Borderline Edge, a solo exhibition by artist Elizabeth Casqueiro. Through the medium of mixed-media painting, the exhibition explores the notion of borderline edge. The work creates a strong dynamic between the geometry of architectural design and the fluid delicacy of flowers and patterns. Paint lives alongside disparate materials in ways that are both symbolic and compositional; loose gesture harmonizes with geometric line; color surprises and connects; edges collide and morph. Evident in the work is the sensibility of a Portuguese immigrant, a background in architecture, and a concern for the human-nature equation.
