Employing a variety of water-based media to create images rich in color and movement, Peterson invites viewers to experience the moods and memories colors evoke in them. Peterson writes of her work: “Colors excite me. Reds suggest anxiety and passion. Blues can evoke a feeling of calm and quiet. Purples are rich and velvety. It’s like magic to watch them flow and blend across the surface of a painting. That’s the part I love – the action, the creation.”
