  • Deborah Reichmann: Rhetoric in Stone

    12 - 6 pm

    Deborah Reichmann
    Description

The Stone Tower Gallery presents Rhetoric in Stone, a retrospective exhibition of stone sculptures that traces the language of the artist Deborah Reichmann's life. Some elements of personality and perspective remain constant, while others evolve and change. We think of language as spoken, or written, or in movement. But stone, that most visibly and tactilely static of mediums, speaks, too. This exhibit tracks the vocabulary of the artist through time. You can follow the phrases that are central and consistent and the statements that stand apart. Each piece speaks, teaches, preaches, and declares. Don't ask the artist what it is saying, just listen to the stone.

    Stone Tower Gallery Hours: Saturdays & Sundays, 12 pm – 6 pm, February 25 - March 26, 2023

    Keith Kozloff: Veiled Memories

    10 - 6 pm

    keith kozloff
    Description

The Park View Gallery presents Veiled Memories, a solo exhibition of photographs by artist Keith Kozloff. Throughout his life, photography has offered him a vehicle for self-discovery. Following a career in environmental policy, Kozloff has embraced the recognition that the arts (and stories in particular) can reach audiences in ways that facts and logic cannot. He uses art to explore relationships among humans, as well as between humans and the non-human world. His process involves forming a theme, assembling a collection of images, and integrating text. Through the resulting photo essay, he aspires to create a narrative arc and engage viewers in it.
