    Description

    The past few years have been filled with loneliness, alienation and anxiety for everyone. Much of my work concerns capturing the emotional landscape of the day to day. In early 2020 the photographs I was taking chronicled the mood of the pandemic. The fear of contagion was palpable, making us imprisoned in our homes. The skies were empty, no one was going anywhere. The daily walks in my neighborhood elevated my spirits a bit. They gave me the opportunity to contemplate the fearsome beauty of nature. The photographs in this exhibition, THE ROARING TWENTIES, 2020, 2021, 2022 reflect on these disorienting times in a world that seems to be spinning out of control and they carry an undercurrent of hope that normalcy is returning.
