• VOLUNTEER

Volunteering is a wonderful way to support Glen Echo Park. Volunteers help with special events, grounds, and facilities improvement & maintenance, as well as arts and cultural programs.

To learn more about volunteer opportunities, please send an email with your name, phone number, and interests to volunteer@glenechopark.org. We will provide you with specific information about upcoming volunteer opportunities.

VOLUNTEER FOR SPECIAL EVENTS & FESTIVALS

Throughout the year, we have volunteer opportunities at our special events and festivals. We are also always looking for volunteers ages 13+ who can earn SSL hours by helping out at events! These opportunities are posted here, or email volunteer@glenechopark.org to sign up.

    VOLUNTEER AS A NEIGHBORHOOD CAPTAIN

We need volunteers to help spread the word about our Year End Campaign Neighborhood Competition, running December 1 – December 31, 2025. Sign up to be a captain or co-captain by emailing Jilna Kothary at jkothary@glenechopark.org.

    More Information

Each year, our Year End Campaign Neighborhood Competition rallies the community to celebrate and sustain this special place. The funds raised support free events & festivals, keep the carousel turning, preserve the Park's historic buildings, and bring in new social dance styles, classes, and exhibitions that help Glen Echo Park grow.

This year, what we need most is YOU. Will you join us as a Neighborhood Captain?

Your participation is incredibly easy and impactful (and we can offer SSL hours to make this a fun family project!)

    • Sign up to be a captain or co-captain by emailing Jilna Kothary at jkothary@glenechopark.org
    • Receive your Captain’s Box complete with postcards about the campaign, stamps, promotional materials, and a few surprises!
    • Spread the word through your neighborhood’s custom fundraising page that we’ll build for you.

The campaign runs December 1–31, and the neighborhood that raises the most wins a 2026 Day at the Park—with a pizza party, arts & crafts, an NPS ranger-led tour, and free carousel rides for all.
