    VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES 2024

    Invasive Plant Removal Work Day | Monday, February 26 | 1pm - 3pm

Join Tree Friends United and work alongside Weed Warriors in clearing English Ivy and other non-native, invasive plants to restore trees and create a more natural environment. Training for the proper identification of non-native plants will be provided. Meet in the Park's main parking lot near the bridge entrance to the Park and wear long pants, sturdy shoes or work boots, a jacket and hat/cap, and work gloves. Bring a water bottle and any of the following tools you may have: pruning shears, clippers, loppers, or small pruning saw. We will have extra tools if you need them. A signed volunteer agreement with the National Park Service will be required to participate in this event. The outing will be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. Volunteers must be 16 years old or older.

To participate, please sign up here.

These invasive plant removal work days will be scheduled on a regular basis so please check back for additional dates.

Information on additional event volunteer opportunities will be posted throughout the year.
