Join the Glen Echo Folk Dancers and co-sponsors Folklore Society of Greater Washington and Romanians of DC for a special Romanian workshop and dance party!

3pm - 6 pm: Picnic (Please bring a dish/snack/beverage to share)

4pm:  Workshop of easy Romanian dances

5pm -6pm: Romanian dance party led by the Glen Echo Folk Dancers (recorded music).

Contra is a fun and easy dance, and darn it, you need more dancing in your life! There's a caller like in square dance, telling you the moves, and every dance is taught beforehand.

No experience needed! No partner, talent, or rhythm needed. Come alone or with friends!

All ages. All genders. All body types.

This Friday the callers will be Qwill Duvall and River Rainbowface, and the band will be Eloise & Company. We always dance contra to great live music!
