  • Keith Kozloff: Veiled Memories

    10 - 6 pm

    keith kozloff
    Description

The Park View Gallery presents Veiled Memories, a solo exhibition of photographs by artist Keith Kozloff. Throughout his life, photography has offered him a vehicle for self-discovery. Following a career in environmental policy, Kozloff has embraced the recognition that the arts (and stories in particular) can reach audiences in ways that facts and logic cannot. He uses art to explore relationships among humans, as well as between humans and the non-human world. His process involves forming a theme, assembling a collection of images, and integrating text. Through the resulting photo essay, he aspires to create a narrative arc and engage viewers in it.

    Park View Gallery Hours: Mondays-Saturdays, 10 am – 6 pm, February 25 - March 26, 2023

    Otis Street Arts Project: Rending...Rendering

    12 - 6 pm

    otis street arts project
    Description

The Popcorn Gallery presents Rending...Rendering, a group exhibition featuring 10 artists from Otis Street Arts Project. To "rend" something is to tear it in half. Yet a "rendering" can be a gift, something returned. These seem like wildly different ideas, even opposites. But can a creation exist without some kind of destruction? Are ashes required to sprout?

In Rending... Rendering, the artists of Otis Street Arts Project explore the duality of construction and deconstruction in new work. They interpret this theme through visceral techniques—shredding, weaving, welding—and evocative materials, including pulp, plastic trash, and palm husks.

    Popcorn Gallery Hours: Saturdays & Sundays, 12 pm – 6 pm, February 25, 2023 - March 26, 2023
