The Popcorn Gallery is proud to present Space Harmony Balance 2023, a juried exhibition of recent ceramic artwork by instructors and advanced students at Glen Echo Pottery. Space, harmony and balance are as significant in ceramic art as the characteristics of the clay the Glen Echo potters use and the skill with which they manipulate it to form and decorate the works they create. This year, in their annual show at the Popcorn Gallery in Glen Echo Park, Glen Echo Pottery demonstrates the growth their potters have achieved – both instructors and students – during the uncertainties of the past three years. Their focus is on how the use of space and the presence of harmony and balance contributes to the deeper meaning and to the beauty of the pieces they make. Glen Echo Pottery invites you to share with them their joy in creating these unique examples of handmade ceramic art. This year’s featured potter is Peter Kosa.
