Contra dance in the Bumper Car Pavilion at Glen Echo Park, Glen Echo, MD. Co-sponsored by Friday Night Dancers and FSGW. Box and String Trio is Bill Quern and Sarah Gowan (combined; guitar, mandolin, concertina, melodeon, 4 & 5 string banjo, fiddle, harmonica, jaw harp and foot percussion) and Laura Alexander (cello). The Box and String Trio plays instrumental traditional roots music from the American Appalachians, England, Canada, Scandinavia, and France. Kappy Laning will be calling. Gender Free Terms for all dance calls. All dances will be taught.
