    JOIN OUR BOARD

    Become part of a unique center for arts, culture, history and nature

    The Board is composed of a diverse group of talented and dedicated individuals who use their time and expertise to assist in advancing the Park’s vision and goals. The Board works closely with the administrative staff and supports the work of the resident programs.

     

    Qualifications 

    • Commitment to bring skill and enthusiasm to the Park’s current and future programs, and in particular, be willing to give time and resources as volunteer leaders to help realize the Park’s strategic goals. 
    • Experience in nonprofits, philanthropy, and business with an understanding of the needs of various communities.
    • Represent the region’s diverse population and desire to advance goals of diversity and inclusion in all Park programs and operations.
    • Current or past involvement with the Park is preferred, but not required.

     

    Responsibilities

    Each board member commits to active participation in at least one committee, attendance at board meetings, and active involvement in Park events. In addition, board members are expected to be strong advocates for the Park and its mission assisting the Park in building financial resources through fundraising and creating a wide network of support. Board terms range from one to three years based on appointment and may be renewed.
