Exhibition Description
Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture is pleased to partner with BWI Marshall Airport's Art Program, where travelers can view exceptional artworks by artists residing in the region. This show features select works by a small group of faculty who work in painting, photography, and mixed media. The works on display offer a glimpse into the talents of our instructors who help to make Glen Echo Park one of the premiere arts and cultural destinations in the DC metro area.
Glen Echo Park is one the finest cultural resources in Montgomery County, MD. This historic national park is home to 13 resident groups, numerous art studios and galleries, and a restored 1921 Dentzel Carousel. Over 100 instructors teach hundreds of classes in visual and performing arts, including ceramics, painting, photography, glass, music, dance, theater and more. In collaboration with Montgomery County and the National Park Service, the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts & Culture manages the Park’s programs and facilities. Our programmatic offerings, such as classes, exhibitions, concerts, festivals and special events, are presented in partnership with our resident groups, artists, and partners, bringing thousands of visitors to the Park annually. The Park is a unique place for diverse audiences to renew their creativity, be part of a community, and enjoy a historic and natural setting.
