      Please join us on Saturday Afternoon June 14 for a 1-Hour Contradance Couples Skills Workshop !

      The Workshop will take place from 1:30 to 2:30 pm in the 3rd floor classroom of the Arcade Building  

      Learn & Practice skills that will help you dance comfortably down the line at your next contra event: 

      • The Invitation to Dance & Dance Etiquette
      • Closed vs Open Dance Frame Basics
      • Arm Position and Hand Placement
      • Balance & Giving Weight
      • The Eyes Have It
      • Walking & Buzz-step Swing your Partner
      • Optional Spins and Turns
      • An Introduction to Waltz as Danced during Intermissions

      Admission to the Workshop is $5 at the door (Cash/Check/Zelle/Credit Card).  Active-duty military and full-time students may enter for $1. 

      No partner is required; all are encouraged to attend. Children under 18 should be accompanied by an adult.

      The Workshop will be taught by Ballroom Time all-volunteer staff instructors Amy O'Brien and Tom Hall with over 50 years of experience in contradance and waltz.
