Amuse showcases the work of textile artist Susan J Lapham from 2022 and 2023. All are explorations of color and balance, line and shape, and come from a place in her heart reserved for the family she was born into. Inspired by Playland, an historic amusement park in Rye, NY and now displayed at the site of in Glen Echo Amusement Park -- the premier amusement park serving the Washington area until 1968, Amuse portrays the excitement of entering the amusement park, exploring the midway, taking walks along the water, and munching on popcorn. The exhibit is about turning an ordinary day into a best-ever day with all the fun that awaits.
