COVID-19 Updates

  • CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) Updates & Information

Most of our activities are open, and we are welcoming visitors! We continue to take steps to ensure the health and safety of our staff and artists – and you, our patrons.

Glen Echo Park operates through a partnership with Montgomery County, the National Park Service, and the Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture. To ensure the safety of the community, the Partnership follows all Montgomery County COVID-19 guidelines. As of 11/20/21 masks are once again required to be worn inside public spaces,

Because Glen Echo Park hosts a wide variety of programs, here we provide a list of major programs and their vaccination policies and/or links to information:

Updated 11/19/21 (Indoor mask mandate goes back into effect 11/20)

Classes: Classes are typically indoors and as such face masks must be worn. Individual instructors may have specific vaccination requirements as well. Information on any requirements can be found in each class description’s special notes section, or you may contact the instructor directly.

Children’s Theater: Adventure Theatre MTC requires face masks and proof of vaccination to attend in-person shows. Click here for more information. The Puppet Co.'s vaccination policies may be found here; face masks must be worn in the theater.

Dances: Vaccination protocols for dances vary by dance presenter, though most presenters require proof of vaccination. Face masks must be worn indoors. Please visit our Dance Calendar for links to more information from each presenter. (Some of our dance presenting partners are also continuing to offer virtual events. See our calendar for more information.)

Glen Echo Park Aquarium: No proof of vaccination is required, but visits are by appointment only. Face masks are required indoors.

Partnership Galleries: Face masks must be worn in the galleries.

Other Resident Artist Studios/Galleries: Face masks must be worn in resident artist studios and galleries.

Rentals: Rental events are private, and any vaccination requirements are at the discretion of the renter. If you are attending a rental event at the Park, please contact the event presenter. Regardless of vaccination policy, if you are in an indoor space, face masks must be worn.
