    The Yellow Barn Studio & Gallery is Glen Echo Park's painting and drawing residency. It is a creative oasis in Glen Echo Park, where community and artistic guidance converge in nationally-recognized artists’ programs. Founded by acclaimed artist Walter Bartman, the Yellow Barn is a haven for budding artists and experienced painters alike. The residency offers classes in watercolor, oil, acrylic, drawing, and printmaking, with a special emphasis on plein air painting. The Yellow Barn also presents weekend exhibitions.

    NEW! THE YELLOW BARN GALLERY IS RE-OPENING | Starting May 8, 2021, the Yellow Barn Gallery will reopen after a long closure due to Covid-19. Join us at the Yellow Barn Gallery to see the exciting work of our local artists. Due to Covid restrictions, all visitors must wear masks, and please if you are unwell or experiencing any symptoms related to Covid-19, please stay home. We will do our best to make it as safe as possible. All visitors acknowledge that they take full responsibility for their safety. Staying at a safe distance of 6′ is recommended.
