Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts & Culture presents Salsa & Bachata y más!, a brand new dance series, combining our Back Room Salsa Nights and Bachata y más dances into one dance! Come experience sizzling hot Salsa and the magic of all styles of Bachata in this special night of Latin Dance.

But wait! There's more! We'll also dance Merengue, Kizomba, y más!

Join us every third Friday of the month in the Ballroom Back Room for a night of connection and pure dance bliss. Whether you're a seasoned pro or taking your first steps, our vibrant community will welcome you with open arms (and smooth moves). Expect friendly faces and effortless connection; No partner? No problem! We rotate partners and foster a warm, inclusive atmosphere. All levels welcome!

Tickets $15 in advance until 11:59pm Friday the night before the dance, $18 at the door (Cash and credit accepted).

Bachata Level 1 is a Bachata Fundamentals class- for those with no knowledge of Bachata we will learn the very basic steps of the Dominican dance. Some moves we will include are the basic turns, box step, sweetheart, cuddle, hammerlock to get you on the dance floor! No partner required. We foster a safe and encouraging environment. $20 daily drop-ins available. Minimum age 15.

For those who have a bit of bachata knowledge (box step, turning the follow and turning as a lead, moving forward and back), it’s time to level up with new positions! In this class you will take what you know from Intro I and learn the shadow position, hammerlocks, and more. No partner is needed. We foster a safe and encouraging environment for dance. Drop-ins available; $20. Minimum age 15.

For those who have never taken salsa or want to brush up on their basics, this FUNdamental class has everything you need! From the basic step, transitions, basic turns, and how to dance with any partner, it is an enjoyable, safe way to start learning to dance with a partner. Don’t have a partner? You don’t need one for this class! This is a safe space for all abilities. We will get you started dancing the spicy club style salsa on 1! $20 daily drop-ins available. Minimum age 15.

For those who have completed or have knowledge of the moves in Salsa On1- Level 1, this is a fun technique class where all the cool partnering begins. You will learn various turn patterns and open breaks to up your salsa game! We support a safe dance environment and no partner is needed. Practice time included in class. Minimum age 15.
