    The Glen Echo Park Partnership for Arts and Culture presents Pride Month programming throughout the month of June, highlighting LGBTQ+ artists and celebrating togetherness as a community. 


    Pride Month 2025 Programming

    Pride Family Day | Saturday, June 1 | 11:00am - 2:00pm | FREE

    Glen Echo Park is proud to collaborate with the office of Montgomery County Councilmember Evan Glass to present the 5th annual Pride Family Day!

    From 11am to 2pm on June 1, 2025, we invite families to the Bumper Car Pavilion to enjoy FREE activities, including:

    Families can also enjoy the playground, the picnic area, and a variety of art galleries throughout the park.

    Bumper Car Squares *Celebrating Pride* | Thursday, June 5 | 7:00pm - 10:30pm | $, FREE for Kids

    On Thursday, June 5, from 7:00pm to 10:30pm, the Partnership presents a special Bumper Car Squares dance in celebration of Pride Month. Dancers can enjoy live music by The You Holler Stringband (comprised of four Old Time musicians who are all proud members of the LGBTQIA+ community) with calling by Janine Smith. Monthly Bumper Car Squares dances feature a lesson for all skill levels (free with the price of admission), followed a caller-led, rousing square dance to live music! Tickets are sold at the door and are $15 for adults, $5 for teens, and FREE for kids 12 and under! After the Pride Month dance, Bumper Car Squares will take a short break, returning with a dance in September.  Learn More about Partnership-presented Dances >>

    Summer Concert Series: Gina DeSimone and The Moaners *Celebrating Pride* | Thursday, June 12 | 7:30pm | FREE

    Gina DeSimone & The Moaners are a DC-based blues and swing foursome that are sure to liven up any event with an eclectic mix of music from all eras! Since 2007, The Moaners have made their mark on the D.C. music scene with unrelentingly danceable tunes and fun-loving humor. The group's musically diverse backgrounds come together to deliver a night of enthusiastic fun, foot tappin' rhythm, and killer harmonies.

    DC Rawhides Dance | Saturday, June 21 | 7:00pm – 11:00pm | $

    Saturday, June 21, 2025, from 7:00pm – 11:00pm, DC Rawhides presents an LGBTQ+ country western dance in the Bumper Car Pavilion. DC Rawhides is a 501(c)(3) organization, committed to ensuring that the tradition of same-sex country dancing in the Washington DC area lives on. They present inclusive, diverse, affirming, fun, high energy LGBTQ+ dances, where all are welcome, structured so all levels of dancers, including beginners, can participate. Tickets are $10 at the door and a one-hour dance lesson is included with the price of admission.

    Glen Echo Park is proud to emphasize diversity in its programming throughout the year. Recent LGBTQ+ exhibitions, dances, and performances include:  

    "Becoming Ourselves" | Photoworks Gallery | March 7 - March 30, 2025

    A showing of beautiful, joyful photos of trans and nonbinary adults and children, selected by a panel of trans youth. Inspiration. Aspiration. Hope. Shown in churches in Maryland and Virginia to celebrate T/NB congregants and community. Contributing photographers from London to Los Angeles including Salgu Wissmath, Octavia, Liam Wood, and Gwen Andersen.
