June 2020 - Special Events & Concerts

VIRTUAL - Words Out Loud: A Spoken Word Series

Friday, June 5, 2020, 7:30 pm

Presenter: Words Out Loud

Contact Email: philipwexler@msn.com

Contact Phone: 240-899-6514

Please join Words Out Loud, A Spoken Word Series, as they take their monthly event virtually via Zoom!

June's event features The Write Blend, a collaboration that grew out of the intersection of distinct experiences of the American landscape. From the challenges of faith to the memories of childhood; from the conversation of leaves to the mystery of rainbows; from broken glass to the blues. Poetry in the forms of free verse and spoken word, measured stanzas and experimental lines. What you will learn is that in spite of — or maybe because of — our differences, we share a common humanity, and blend not only in the community of real life, but also in the community of the imagination — the community of words.
