Solitudes explores urban isolation and how individuals create self-imposed solitudes to combat depression, shut out sensory overload, or rejuvenate their sense of worth.  Salomon’s exhibition highlights ways in which we withdraw to a private inner place where no one else may venture, a nurturing place for healing and rebuilding. Salomon invites audiences to experience the ways in which people seek out solitude in crowded urban settings. Viewers will witness the outward appearance of these people, while their ethereal and spiritual nature remains an enigma.

Soul Crackers’ music encompasses Memphis & Motown soul and features timeless songs by artists like Jr. Walker, Otis Redding, Sam & Dave, Gladys Knight, Martha & The Vandellas, and Wilson Pickett. Lead vocalist Tommy Lepson’s powerful voice conveys all the joy and passion that makes this music come alive. He will be joined on stage by two remarkable vocalists, the "Too Much Sisters” — Anita King and Caz Gardiner — to perform those rich Motown vocals. The 9-piece band also includes a kickin' horn section that packs dance floors from the first note played. The rest of the band all have years of expertise, rockin’ the house as one of the best acts in town. And for this performance only the band features original “Cracker” Paul Bell (formerly of the Nighthawks) on guitar. Don’t want to bring your dancin’ shoes? Just come to listen to the music and have a drink. A special area of the ballroom will be set up for listening. Beer and wine are available at the on-site cafe, Praline at Glen Echo Park. A blues dance lesson is included with the ticket price.
