Join us in the Spanish Ballroom for a special Saturday afternoon addition of Mike’s Ballroom Blast – featuring Mike Surratt & the ECB playing a wide variety of dance music to include Foxtrot, Rumba, Samba, Mambo, Tango, Cha-Cha, Merengue, Waltz, Swing, and More! A dance lesson for all levels is presented at 3 pm, followed by dancing to wonderful live music from 3:30 - 6:00 pm. Admission includes the lesson. No partner or prior experience needed

The Glen Echo Park Partnership presents a social Ballroom dance with live music by the Lucky Cats Jazz OrchestraThis ensemble performs dance music of the 1920s, '30s and '40s, providing an elegant re-creation of the great early-jazz dance bands of a bygone era. Lucky Cats Jazz Orchestra is made up of 12 instrumentalists and one vocalist, and features many former members of the Hot Society Orchestra.


This event is part of Heritage Days, a two-day, county-wide festival sponsored by Heritage Tourism Alliance of Montgomery County (Heritage Montgomery). Glen Echo Park is one of many venues in the county offering special programming - FREE of charge- for Heritage Days weekend.

Each year, on the last weekend of June, Heritage Montgomery hosts its signature event, the annual Heritage Days celebration – this year marking its 21st anniversary! This event with free admission offers visitors an opportunity to sample numerous sites representing the history, culture, and natural beauty of Montgomery County. Saturday, June 23 & Sunday, June 24, 2018 – noon to 4pm
