Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day
February 9 - March 31, 2018
Presenter: Adventure Theatre MTC Recommended Ages: All ages Location: Adventure Theatre Contact Phone: 301-634-2270 http://www.adventuretheatre-mtc.org
Alexander is having a bad day. A terrible day. A horrible day. To be quite honest, it's a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. But then, everybody has bad days, sometimes. Not only does Alexander wake up with gum in his hair, but his mother forgets to pack him dessert, and his best friend decides he's not his best friend anymore. And if that's not bad enough, Alexander's brothers don't have any cavities but - he does. And just when it can't get any worse, there are lima beans for supper and - yuck!- kissing on the TV. It is enough to make anyone want to go to Australia.

Glen Echo Park Partnership is pleased to present I Draw the Line: Oil Paintings by Robert LeMar. In this exhibition of paintings, LeMar experiments with different approaches to outlining, while seeking to maintain a strong sense of realism. Although done entirely with oil on canvas, every painting is really about the drawn line. Color also plays a major role in the work, as it conveys light and form. Even so, it all starts with a line drawn on canvas. In this work, LeMar seeks to champion that line. Le Mar was the recipient of the Park View Artist Award at the 2017 Labor Day Art Show at Glen Echo Park.

What's so bad about the Big Bad Wolf? At last B.B. (Big Bad) Wolfe tells his side of the story, in rap, no less. Has the notorious pork poacher and grandma impersonator gotten a bum rap, or is he truly deserving of his moniker? You be the judge! This is one of our funniest productions and includes lots of audience participation.
