The PAGE Program

Due to the ongoing global pandemic, we have made the difficult decision to not resume the PAGE program for the Fall 2020 session. We will re-evaluate the possibility of resuming the program in the spring pending adequate resources and an improved health situation. We appreciate your interest in the PAGE program. If you have questions, email

While we can't be together in person, we're bringing you online classes & events, virtual exhibitions, and more. Create. Collaborate. Connect. Stay Connected here.

You may make up your inclement weather classes in Winter or Spring Sessions. Your make-up days must be scheduled through in advance so we can ensure availability.

The PAGE Program

A "play-school" experience that provides preschool readiness with an arts focus in the unique setting of Glen Echo Park.

Great for socializing, playing, and learning.

PAGE Program

Classes are parent/child or caregiver/child.

PAGE is for children ages 1-4.
At the start of the semester, we divide kids into "Koalas" and "Butterflies." Koalas are approximately ages 2-4, and Butterflies are approximately ages 1-2. We use these age parameters as a guideline, so the “younger” group and “older” group may vary slightly from session to session based on the ages of participating children. (Please email with any questions.)
Classes take place Monday - Friday. (Note certain days off below.)
Classes are offered on a single-day basis, so you can experience PAGE one day per week, or fill your week with PAGE every day -- or anywhere in between.
Classes are 2.5 hours (9:30am - 12pm), with a majority of the scheduled activity taking place from 10am - 11:30am.
A typical morning includes: free play, tabletop activities, a PAGE arts-specialty focus, circle time, storytelling, songs, snack time, craft projects and more. At PAGE we provide an environment that fosters: Play. Arts. Grow. Educate. We are uniquely located in the heart of Glen Echo Park.
Preschool Skills + Daily Arts Focus
Our PAGE arts-specialty focuses are taught by our partners, including Metropolitan Ballet Theatre & Academy, Glen Echo Park Aquarium, Faculty member Denise Dittmar and other arts presenters.

Musical Movement: We move and groove while using fun musical themed instruments to help us out.
Hands On Creative Art: We work with Denise Dittmar on art projects exploring various artistic mediums.
Discover Movement: We learn how to move our bodies in different ways while incorporating rhythm, music and sound.
Ocean and Science Exploration: An arts-based adventure through sea & science, learning the colors and shapes of the world around us.
Creative and Curious: Arts & science themed experiments and other hands-on creative projects.
