Washington Conservatory of Music
Washington Conservatory of Music at Glen Echo Park, which opened in fall 2009,
puts music “center stage” at the Park.
For 25 years the Washington Conservatory of Music, a nationally accredited community music school, has been a resident of Montgomery County and has served students of all ages and levels with lessons and classes. In addition, for the past ten years the Conservatory has presented over one hundred forty free public concerts and events featuring professional musicians. At its Glen Echo Park location, the Conservatory offers innovative classes, summer camps, group ensembles, talks, weekend immersion sessions, and concerts for children, teens and adults in its 75-seat recital hall. The Conservatory is located in the South Arcade, next to Adventure Theatre.
Glen Echo Park offers music classes and ensembles for children, teens, and adults through the Washington Conservatory of Music (WCM) as well as its Associate Music Program. Washington Conservatory of Music is a nationally-accredited independent community music school serving students of all ages and levels in the greater DC and Bethesda area since 1984. The Conservatory has an outstanding faculty of professional musicians. It is accredited by the Accrediting Commission for Community and Pre-collegiate Arts Schools (ACCPAS), is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Music (NASM), and a member of the National Guild for Community Arts Education.
