First Day of Registration Policies & Procedures
WALK-IN REGISTRATION – Procedures for the FIRST DAY OF REGISTRATION
***Please note: For most classes it is not necessary to register on the first day registration opens. Call the Registrar at 301.634.2226 if you are concerned about a class filling quickly.
Priority is given to walk-in registrants on the first day that class registration opens for a semester. Online registration generally opens one or two days after this date. See below for specific instructions for the first day of registration.
Walk-in registration for Spring/Summer 2017 classes is Saturday, January 28 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. (office hours).
Online class registration will open at 12:00 p.m. Sunday, January 29.
Please note: All online registration will be unavailable from 12:01am January 28 until 12pm January 29.
Due to the volume of walk-in registrants, we are unable to answer any incoming phone calls.
If you leave a message we will return your call as soon as possible.
• The office will open promptly at 10 a.m. If you wish to wait for the office to open on Saturday morning you may do so. Again, for most classes it is not necessary to complete a walk-in registration on the first day.
• You must turn in a completed registration form and full payment in the correct amount (check or credit card) in order to register for a class. Please have your form and payment ready when registration begins at 10 a.m. If you believe a class is likely to fill up quickly, please indicate alternate classes on your registration form.
• You will receive an email confirmation of your enrollment if you have provided an accurate, legible email address on your form. If a class is full, your name will be placed on the waiting list. We will NOT be able to confirm class availability on January 28.
