Meet the Author • Saturday, February 10

Meet the author, Judith Viorst, in a special meet-and-greet between the 11am and 2pm shows!

Judith will be signing books that can be purchased at the box office between 12:00-1:30pm.

__________

Alexander is having a bad day. A terrible day. A horrible day. To be quite honest, it's a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. But then, everybody has bad days, sometimes. Not only does Alexander wake up with gum in his hair, but his mother forgets to pack him dessert, and his best friend decides he's not his best friend anymore. And if that's not bad enough, Alexander's brothers don't have any cavities but - he does. And just when it can't get any worse, there are lima beans for supper and - yuck!- kissing on the TV. It is enough to make anyone want to go to Australia.

Dancing runs from 9 pm to 11:30 pm to blues music from every corner of the genre. Note: the entrance to Ballroom Back Room is on far left side of Spanish Ballroom.

We know how it is, babies. Ever since you joined your family, your parents have been talking about how they never get a chance to go out swing dancing anymore, so tell them about this great Saturday DJ dance that's parent and children-friendly. They won't have to worry about getting a babysitter, because the whole family can attend together. They won't have to worry about bothering other dancers, because you're all in the same playpen! The music will be soft and the lights will be up, so Mommies and Daddies can get their swing on in a family-friendly setting.

Children must be supervised by a guardian at all times. Adults do not have to be accompanied by a baby (but they must like babies!).

Parents/guardians are entirely responsible for their children and child care is NOT provided by GEPPAC or American Swing.

So take a tip from The Washington Post’s Mike Joyce, “The Cunningham Band is bound to please.”
