Celebrating Frankie Manning Month! In conjunction with the Frankie Manning Foundation, the international Lindy Hop community comes together every May to honor the original Ambassador of Lindy Hop. We'll spend the night doing the best thing we could ever do in the memory of Frankie Manning—dancing the dance we all love and spreading the joy of Lindy Hop with old friends and new. We'll be performing two dance routines during the first band break: "In The Mood," which was choreographed in honor of the 70th anniversary of the end of World War II last summer, and a short and snappy routine utilizing some of Frankie's favorite moves. The third band set will kick off with a gigantic Shim Sham Shimmy. Be part of the world-wide community of Lindy Hoppers!

The George Gee Swing Orchestra revels in its hard-earned reputation as the swingin’-est, blowin’-est, heppest classic big band in New York City. In more than 30 years of playing for dancing feet, the George Gee Swing Orchestra band has developed a special bond with lindy hoppers all around the world. A long-time personal favorite of Frankie Manning, there's nothing more natural than including George and the orchestra in this annual celebration.

C'mon all you hep cats! See for yourself why everyone calls the Tom Cunningham Orchestra "the swingin'est band around!" Lindy Hop Legend Frankie Manning said it best when he said, "I haven't heard it played that good since Basie!" There could be no higher compliment! With two of Frankie's favorite bands on stage at the same time, you know this is going to be a fantastic evening.

The dance includes a beginner swing lesson with Tom and Debra from 8 –9 pm, followed by dancing from 9 pm – midnight. Beginners are welcome and no partner is necessary.
