Capital Blues proudly presents weekly Thursday night blues dances. We rotate DJs and instructors each week to inspire and challenge you. A beginner workshop from 8:15 - 9:00 pm offers important partnering basics for new dancers. The class is included with admission; no partner necessary. Dancing runs from 9 pm to 11:30 pm to blues music from every corner of the genre. Note: the entrance to Ballroom Back Room is on far left side of Spanish Ballroom.

Goldilocks

Goldilocks is on trial, and the audience decides if it was breaking-and-entering or an innocent mistake. This musical romp illustrates that there are two sides to every story, with the same circumstances seen from very different points of view. Told with rod puppets and giant hand puppets, this production keeps the audience guessing while including all the favorite elements of the classic children's fairytale.

 

Age recommendation: 3 1/2 years old - 9 years old; Running time: 40 minutes.

Then when tragedy stikes, Ella is reduced to an obedient servant in her new home with Dame Olga. Can Ella find a way to rid herself of the troublesome curse?

Glen Echo Park Partnership is pleased to present Focus on Fiber. This exhibition introduces Glen Echo Park's new fiber arts instructors. From knitting and quilting, to weaving and felting, there are exciting new classes and camps coming this spring/summer session.  Visit the exhibition to learn more about these great new programs for children, teens and adults. The Friday Night Dancers present Contra dancing, as well as some square dances and waltzes. Contra dance lesson from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. followed by the called dance to live music from 8:30 to 11:30 pm. Beginners are always welcome and a partner is not necessary!
