The Friday Night Dancers present Contra dancing, as well as some square dances and waltzes. Contra dance lesson from 7:30 to 8:15 p.m. followed by the called dance to live music from 8:30 to 11:30 pm. Tonight Anna Rain calls to Maivish with Adam Broome on guitar and jaw harp, Jaige Trudel on fiddle, Matt Olwell on flute and percussion.

 

Beginners are always welcome and a partner is not necessary!

The Folklore Society of Greater Washington presents traditional American contra dancing. The evening can include square dances, mixers, waltzes and other couple dances. All Contras and Square dances are taught, no partner is necessary. There is a lesson at 7 p.m., followed by the dance with caller and live music from 7:30 to 10:30 p.m.
